Cannes classic. Il passato che non ha età. Tutti i film

CANNES – Prima che il digitale prendesse il sopravvento, ormai quindici anni orsono, il festival di Cannes ha dato origine alla retrospettiva dei classici,  perché fosse mantenuta la memoria del meglio di concessionarie  e società di produzione,  cineteche e  archivi mondiali.

In gran parte la scelta del 2017 è dedicata alla storia del festival. Cannes Classic mette il prestigio della più grande vetrina al mondo a disposizione del cinema ritrovato  e ne facilita la divulgazione:  uscite in sala di capolavori di un tempo, in VOD o DVD/ Blu Ray . Intendendo questo quale componente essenziale, ancor più missione vera e propria, senza cui non è possibile mantenere vivo il rapporto tra il passato e il presente dell’arte cinematografica.

I film che vedremo quest’anno hanno permesso al festival di fregiarsi come talent-scout e provengono da Ungheria, Libano, Serbia, Gran Bretagna, Italia, Stati Uniti, Israele, Mauritania, Niger, Polonia, Svizzera, Giappone, Spagna, Paesi Bassi, Canada, Belgio e Australia. Saranno proiettati al Palazzo del festival, nella sala Buñuel o  nella Soixantième, alla presenza di coloro che li hanno restaurati o, se fossero ancora tra noi, alla presenza degli autori. Il programma 2017 si compone di ventiquattro film, un cortometraggio e cinque documentari. Ecco i titoli:
